It's a Wild Wild Life

When: After a trip to California
Where: Central Park, New York.
Who: OTA

What:

The Rift has been active once again and Jack has taken a small group with him to of all places Central Park. It was nice to have localized activity above the HUB it was easier to find but it made the immortal uneasy.

Jack turned around with his Webley in one hand. He listened to his cheerleader under the HUB giving him and the others directions. The energy signal is a strange one that is leading him closer towards the Central Park zoo. It's a bright sunny day with families and tourists flocking over to see the exhibits.

"Hey, is anyone feeling a little strange?" Jack turns his head around and with an influx of people in the area he reholsters the gun. "Please, let's try not to cause anyone to panic." He tells the people with him and with a motion of his hand he gives a silent order to put the guns away. He pushes himself through the turn-style and he begins to make his way through the mass of people who are enjoying the warm weather.

'Careful Jack, you're getting closer to it's location. It's located in a far corner of the zoo grounds.' Toshiko says, through the commlink to everyone on the surface.

"I promise someone that we can do some guns a wavin," Jack jokes, but the matter is far from one as his hand slides into the pocket of his greatcoat when he pushes through a group of onlookers near a group of flamingos.

It was a nice day, it was a nice day to be at the zoo and The Doctor was going to take Donna out. "Oh, nothing wrong with a lovely spring day in old Central Park." He's got his hands in his pockets while he goes to give a curious Elephant who's ruffling his hair a pat on the trunk. "No, my hair does not have anything peanut related there old girl."

The zoo was a horrible place for The Doctor and he hated seeing anything denied its freedom. He was here for Donna's sake, she went through so much since their return to Earth. They're stuck. It's not exactly a bad place to be stuck at either. "Donna let's leave our friends here and let's have an ice cream in the shape of a bear."

"I always feel strange. I keep craving steak...rare as hell and I don't like my steak that way." Liz doesn't like the idea of guns a' blazin' in a crowd either but she'd can't deny something does feel very off. It's not just the general uncomfortable feeling she gets from being around things in cages. That hits a little too close to home considering part of her childhood was spent in a lab at the BPRD.

"Havin' fun down there, HB?" She asks her big demon buddy, who's stuck in the sewers for this one. Crowds and eight foot tall guys with tails? Not exactly a great combo.

"Fuckin' perfect. I discovered a new smell." Red snarked back over some static. "Ya find it yet, I wanna go home. That or shoot somethin', I ain't picky."

Liz just rolled her eyes before replying to Hellboy. "Promise you'll be the first to know in either case." She said before moving closer to their boss. "What is this thing anyway, Jack? This place is crowded as hell, we need to find it like...now."

The Master is in the reptile exibit, waving at a snake. "These things are kinda beautiful. Them and the big cats remind me of me.

"Which animals remind you of you?"

Andrew makes his way to the lion exhibit, Märet not far behind him, nattering on about something or other regarding Earth felines as they walk. He knows Märet already knows the same things he does, but he's slipped into parent mode and is trying to make sure the meta-meta stays engaged and gets some mental stimulation from their little trip to the zoo. He's still got the meta-meta on a leash, but he's discreetly observing to judge whether Märet would notice and kick up a fuss if he took it off and put it away. The meta-meta has been fairly clingy lately, and the leash wasn't actually Andrew's idea this time.

"Not far now - see, here's a good spot. D'you think they have any cubs in there this year?"

[BBDoc was off wandering on his own. Probably not the best idea, but since everyone's returned there's a certain freedom he feels he has. That, and Johnny's death is now a distant memory. Nearly forgotten, but for the few hands about that remind him.

He wanders over the look at the bears. He likes bears.]

Battling the Doctor across space and time offered the Master a myriad of pleasures, starting with the mental stimulation of fighting a worthy enemy. Of course, to get the full range of these pleasures, it was necessary for the Doctor to realize that the Master was out there, biding his time. The Master loved the thought that the Doctor knew the Master, at any given time, might be just around the corner, laying a trap. The Doctor being completely unaware of the Master's presence in the universe was intolerable.

The Master set his TARDIS down near the entrance to the zoo of Central park, disguising it as a large oak tree. He knew the Doctor would come back to Earth, probably sooner rather than later. The Master had used the scanners of his TARDIS to detect any activity that might attract the Doctor's attention. An unusual energy signal had led the Master to New York City. He just hoped one of the Doctors came to investigate. In the meantime, the Master wandered the zoo, keeping to the shadows and loosing himself in large crowds.

Nathan didn't know what has brought him to the zoo today, he should still be hunting for his Doctor and Sylar. He has a feeling he is supposed to be here though and he wandered around happily watching the kids point at their favorite animals. He suddenly missed Claire and Peter with a passion.

Come on Petrelli focus find Sylar and the Doctor, then you can go home for a while, he thought to himself.

Once people get close they will notice that there's nothing but these little sparrows near the exhibit. When they cross that invisible line they will no longer feel themselves. The transformation is seemingly painless and they will become something more than a flock of birds.

The energy signal continues to pulsate from the building and it will take some effort to get down into the abandoned enclosure.

The Doctor's companions and enemies find themselves smaller, larger, with extra hair, feathers or even scales.
