It's a Wild Wild Life

When: After a trip to California

The Rift has been active once again and Jack has taken a small group with him to of all places Central Park. It was nice to have localized activity above the HUB it was easier to find but it made the immortal uneasy.

Jack turned around with his Webley in one hand. He listened to his cheerleader under the HUB giving him and the others directions. The energy signal is a strange one that is leading him closer towards the Central Park zoo. It's a bright sunny day with families and tourists flocking over to see the exhibits.

"Hey, is anyone feeling a little strange?" Jack turns his head around and with an influx of people in the area he reholsters the gun. "Please, let's try not to cause anyone to panic." He tells the people with him and with a motion of his hand he gives a silent order to put the guns away. He pushes himself through the turn-style and he begins to make his way through the mass of people who are enjoying the warm weather.

'Careful Jack, you're getting closer to it's location. It's located in a far corner of the zoo grounds.' Toshiko says, through the commlink to everyone on the surface.

"I promise someone that we can do some guns a wavin," Jack jokes, but the matter is far from one as his hand slides into the pocket of his greatcoat when he pushes through a group of onlookers near a group of flamingos.

The elephant making a mess in her wake might answer Jack's answers. Alisa could smell those 'pheromones' from the other side of the barrier. She's one big old African Elephant with a pair of big tusks and she's far from happy.

"Okay, who's going to explain this?" She grinds to a stop, okay she knows it was the thing where ever it maybe. Then she can't help but to see the poor little donkey. "Where'd Shrek go?" The fact there's two predators who might be hungry makes her a little nervous.

Alisa wouldn't mind escaping from the zoo right now and it couldn't be a problem to make a run for the gates. "I don't think donkey's plan is a good one. We might want to find and fix this first."

Liz had a point as did Owen, but then there's the sense of duty and the issue with all of these birds. Jack goes to swat one of the drunken sparrows from the sky with one of his big paws. "You're both right. We risk getting shot if we stay here and..."

Jack turns around to see the zoo staff coming towards them with rifles and then there's the big elephant that comes to approach them. "Okay, we can joke around later, let's go work on an escape. I haven't seen Patrick or Ianto anywhere either."

He gets down to all fours and he looks at the scanner that was dropped. There's a grunt and a look to the big old elephant. "We might need fingers guys, lets go see if we can find someone who can help us out first."
