It's a Wild Wild Life

When: After a trip to California
Where: Central Park, New York.
Who: OTA

What:

The Rift has been active once again and Jack has taken a small group with him to of all places Central Park. It was nice to have localized activity above the HUB it was easier to find but it made the immortal uneasy.

Jack turned around with his Webley in one hand. He listened to his cheerleader under the HUB giving him and the others directions. The energy signal is a strange one that is leading him closer towards the Central Park zoo. It's a bright sunny day with families and tourists flocking over to see the exhibits.

"Hey, is anyone feeling a little strange?" Jack turns his head around and with an influx of people in the area he reholsters the gun. "Please, let's try not to cause anyone to panic." He tells the people with him and with a motion of his hand he gives a silent order to put the guns away. He pushes himself through the turn-style and he begins to make his way through the mass of people who are enjoying the warm weather.

'Careful Jack, you're getting closer to it's location. It's located in a far corner of the zoo grounds.' Toshiko says, through the commlink to everyone on the surface.

"I promise someone that we can do some guns a wavin," Jack jokes, but the matter is far from one as his hand slides into the pocket of his greatcoat when he pushes through a group of onlookers near a group of flamingos.

She split from Ianto whom was sent to go wander off with Patrick she's tickled to be on a mission. Alisa's got her gun back in her holster and there was no need to stir up any trouble here.

"You're telling me. The sparrows and squirrels are lacking a certain grace today." Alisa points to a pair of sparrows that miss their mark on a tree and the squirrel that's unable to keep it's balance on a wire. "I think they're spiking the nuts and the bread crumbs."

"It's not just them....the people are acting strange too," The Captain said "This feels wrong....very, very wrong."

She listens to her stomach growl and she should of gotten herself something to eat at the snack bar. "I've been hungry since I've gotten here. That and thirsty, alright so I'm eating for three."

Everything feels strange well stranger than normal for Alisa. She looks at all of the birds. "There's just a lot of these little guys." Alisa watches a bunch of the little brown sparrows fly off from a different direction and she frowns. "You're right. I was expecting this to be an easy mission but easy is hardly the word with Torchwood."

"Indeed," the Captain says with a sigh, "it all seems to happen over there....like an invisible line is crossed and something happens. But what I don't know. This doesn't seem Rift related after all."

Alisa wanders something in her is having her want to wander and there she steps over that unknown line. She turns around to look at a food cart. "Jack, I'm really hungry okay, I know exactly where there was a food cart with lots of food."

She points in a distant direction is and she fidgets a bit at the feeling of something hanging down from her skirt. There is one elephant's tail swaying and as she continues to think of food and drink her body begins to grow, put weight on, gray and eventually there's one big elephant where Alisa stood.

"Uh oh!" She flails her trunk about in the air without much skill. "Shit! Now who's responsible for this mess? Master right? Those Time Lords?"

A soft hiss from near Alisa's new feet. "Watch where you're stepping Alisa before you squash me," says a pretty coral snake. "Could you pick me up with that thing before I get stepped on?"

She smells the snake better than she can see it. "Okay, I have no trunk training..Let's see." She reaches her trunk up for a branch on a tree and it doesn't take much effort to snap a branch off.

"Now let's not my instincts to stomp the snake kick in." Alisa would very much like to do that right now. She lowers the branch down for The Captain to slither up on. She just has to avoid eating both in the process.

Slowly, carefully the snake slithers up the stick settling right in the middle with a happy hiss. "Oh this is nice," it says, "I'm twice as flexible as I was when I was human."
