Welcome to Oodsphere Thanks Giving
The Oodsphere was once a place used by humans to sell Ood into slavery, this is no more with Ood and the Friends of the Ood working side by side. There is a great banquet hall with a great feast of human food favorites from hams, yams, turkey and with all of the trimmings the staff has picked up on the American holiday as a day to give thanks.
There standing amongst it all is Ood Sigma with his hands held wide open. "I welcome all of you to give thanks to the Children of Time and most importantly The Doctor. I will welcome all of you later to come listen to a most important message about the future of the universe."
OOC: This is a two part plot, the feast will take part tonight and on to till tomorrow once everyone's home and plump for the American side of things. The message and the kick off for the next few plots will happen Friday night. There's no pose order so simply treat this like the Halloween Party thread. The message thread will have it's own separate thread so don't worry about things there. The plot is Fractured only so no open invites on sws please.

There's a smile on his face and he glances back over his shoulder for his friend that he brought with him. "Come on Ianto let's go say hello to everyone. Let's not mind there's two other mes here." He offers the Welshman a kind smile and he makes his way towards the food line.

It makes him nervous in a very strange way.
He considers himself lucky to have travelled and seen other places with Jack now. Because that means his eyes aren't in danger of falling out of their sockets quite yet. There's far too much to see here though.
"Unreal," he mutters, keeping /very/ close to his Jack.

He helps himself to something that's fuzzy and yellow, everything is alien right down to the 'turkey' and 'ham'. They're simply close enough to resemble their 21st century counter parts. "The food looks to be amazing."
He steps to aside to allow a red android to get in front of him. "You've got a zero percent chance of having someone try to eat or rob you here. The Ood are peaceful and so are the rest of the races here."
no subject
There's nothing more awkward and strange, he thinks, then to have a conversation with yourself.
So he follows Jack, eyeballs the food and also has nerve the doubt it's 'amazingness'. It all looks rather.... He's /not/ going to eat anything that's still fuzzy, for example. Instead he picks something more close to what he does know, if only to have a plate with food and not seem out of place.
Or rude. The last thing he'd want is to seem rude, when this is such a peaceful race. And the more time he spends here, the more his mouth drops open with what he sees. No matter the travels he's had with Jack.
"It's uh, a popular party," he point out, surprised to see versions of Tosh, Gwen and... is that Owen? Well, at least there's only one of those.
So far.
"Is there something particular we're celebrating?" he asks, keeping his voice down, because he has a feeling he ought to know this. And by not knowing he may offend as well.
no subject
He looks at the Ianto that is there besides his own. He's older than the one he held in his arms. "He's older." Jack simply says, he begins to just pick at the strange foods and he eats it. He's eaten far worse during his travels in the Agency so something with legs or that moves isn't out of the immortal's diet plan.
"It's a very popular party, it's for a very popular individual," Jack looks for the tall and skinny man with big hair. He finds him wearing a suit. "Him. He's saved countless worlds from some very horrible things out there. If you think that outpost planet was...."
There's something he hasn't seen in ages a Dalek servant with an odd olive color a belt pouch and a serving tray on it's sucker arm. The Union Jack is another hint. "Bad...that there is the thing of nightmares."
no subject
Which probably should bother him but really doesn't.
The Welshman follows Jack's line of vision to the tall skinny version of a man he's seen before. Namely the one Jack's ran off with when.... After Abadon. That's one still fresh, even if it's a life-time ago while at same time isn't. The Doctor. What well trained Torchwood employee doesn't know the man?
Well, when you were trained basically, at One, not Three.
"What?" Confusion again, but it's something Ianto is getting used to. Jack often forgets what time Ianto's from and talks about things as if the man ought to know. Once again he follows Jack's line of vision and watches.

"I can tell he is," Jack begins to pick at the items on his plate. He watches as the older Welshman walks past again. "He's not as good looking so you're lucky." He teases Ianto happily.
Then there's The Doctor a Doctor who's not fighting the darkness of his last regeneration. "This is a younger Doctor. I can tell the face is different than my own. Much different." He still has a soft spot for The Doctor despite the trouble he is going through.
"Daleks," Jack simply says, and he points to a few others who are on the scale of bad. "Sontoran." He doesn't dare point out the glint of metal in the distance that would be a Cyberman. "This message is extremely important if this lot is here to break bread without any trouble brewing."
no subject
At least this Jack is /his/ Jack. Even if he's from the future. Duw, this was all so complicated. It was a small wonder time hadn't just simply exploded or imploded and those were actually bloody Daleks?
He tears his eyes away from the sight and turns back to Jack. Food -or what passes as for for some- forgotten as he looks at those the Captain points out.
"You must know several regenerations then," Ianto ventures, frowning at the Dalek waiter. Sontoran. He's read about those vaguely. That makes him have a good look around to see what or who else is around. There's Gwen.... Owen... Tosh. He's happy to see them.
He's less happy to see something that still gives him nightmares and nothing can convince him Cybermen are here to seek... whatever. Peace? "Shit," he whispers, frozen on his seat as his eyes are glued to the creature.
no subject
He glances over to the other three Jacks, the one with a wife and then there is another with his face so he puts his count to more then just four of them. "You should go say hello, no not to our alien guests here but Owen and Tosh." He seems to feel there's urgency for Ianto to at least say hello.
"Yeah, the one previous to that one is the one who found me," Jack offers a smile and will have to tell Ianto that story one day. "I'll be bringing us to the London at the center of this or New York." He suspects that going to run won't help things.
He watches Ianto, he knew Ianto still had nightmares about the Cybermen that came to Canary Wharf. "I think they're there to see if they can save their tin asses."
no subject
Jack's, possibly. Knowingly.
Ianto shakes his head as he glances over at Tosh, Owen and there's even a Gwen. "They're not mine," he simply offers. Not that he knows this, but it's just something he feels. They're not his. Or he should say theirs, but it's so confusing with Jack being his Jack and at the same time not.
Ugh, best not think about that too much or he'll give himself a headache.
Instead he listens to Jack, eyes moving to the Doctor again. It's hard to follow the man at times. Jack talks about things that already happened to him, but not to Ianto and often forget Ianto then has no idea what he's talking about. The Welshman even developed a special confused look to indicate this. It's the one he's currently giving Jack again.
"I don't care why they're here. They could be extinct and I think whole galaxies would rejoice," he offers quietly, wishing they would move on with things. He's certainly lost /his/ appetite.
no subject
He glances down at the gifts that were placed on their tables, the odd cloth covered jars and he glances over to Ianto. "We're still on the same side. I know they're not yours and they're not mine either. If things get bad we're going to need to rely on one another." Jack tries to explain things, if it is this bad that everyone was drawn here he'll put aside his idea of gallivanting across the universe.
"You're right, this entire room would rejoyce," Jack sometimes finds it hard not to, and he glances back to him with an innocent look. "They're the universal cockroach if you think you got rid of them they just come back.
His interest goes to the covered jars on the table, then there come the three Ood. starts to filter on through his head.

He's still recovering from being stranded on that blasted planet for near a week while Jack was in jail. He really doesn't feel much like intermingling with anyone. Even if it's with familiar face that aren't really familiar.
"Yeah," he mutters, eyes still drawn to that Cyberman, walking around as if they hadn't... Then his eyes are suddenly drawn to the jars on the table. Huh. Hadn't noticed those before. Very odd.
"Jack, what's..." he starts, and then finds himself blinking again when something enters his mind.
no subject
"Of course not," Jack smiles warmly at Ianto, he watches the Cyberman walking around. He will make note to do something about it if they cross paths again. The immortal knows they would love to get a hand on The Doctor. These are different Cybermen then those Ianto knew but they're still very much the same no matter the universe.
Then the message fills his head, the foreboding message of something lingering in one of the various universes that have eventually been opened up into this one.
Then the items in front of them are revealed. Jack blinks and he knows this item well. It was the old severed hand of The Doctor. 'The Doctor Detector'.
When the message ends this leaves him a bit baffled. "Okay, my old Doctor Detector. I'm not sure how this is going to detect anything but him.."

He'd caught himself making an exception for Jack though, back in his time. And he was starting to do so now for an older Jack as well.
But here? He was far, far too uncomfortable. With Cybermen and Dalek roaming around. With friends who looked like friends but weren't his friends. And if he understood whatever was just was said in his mind -and what the hell sort of invasion of privacy was /that/?- then things were not going to stop and only were about to get worse.
When his mind is finally clear, he jerks as if someone punched him and glances at Jack. Who looks more baffled then shocked, but then with what he's seen and done... not so surprising. Actually, the fact that he can be baffled my be surprising.
"What the hell is going on?" Ianto want to know, looking at Jack and then around to room to watch the reaction of others.
