Like a Moth to a Bug Zapper
When: Moving Day Plot
Who: The Doctor
stetsons_r_cool/OTA
Where: In his TARDIS Outside the California HUB
What: The Doctor took a quick trip to the moon and back after Prisoner Zero's recapture by the Atraxi. There was something that took control of his TARDIS and sent her to the moon. It was to be a quick trip back to join his friends really but he finds himself back in California once again. The TARDIS was drawn back to where some of her 'sisters are grounded but her connections to this universe keep her power from fading like the rest.
Unlike, the others his TARDIS seems to be unaffected by the others but she's causing other problems unknown to anyone. The Doctor pops the doors open and he knows this isn't the end of things to come. "There are cracks in the walls of the universe, cracks that are to be found through out time and space. I hate when they talk in riddles." The Doctor loudly protests about what went on in the hospice.
The Doctor steps out from his TARDIS to attempt to greet the day but the sun looks very much like the sun he saw in Leadworth. It's gotten hotter since he first left Earth and this is a pause for worry.

At least her insults of alien nothing, bean pole and others can still apply here. "Doctor!" Jack calls out to his old friend and he continues to lead Donna down towards his 'working' TARDIS.

The TARDIS had one rough landing but she's no better for wear and without any knowledge as to what's happening he walks over towards Jack and Donna. He's going to pass over Jack for Donna. The Doctor's going to pretty much steal her from Donna. "Oh, Donna you look fantastic. Oh, more than fantastic, I'd say simply brilliant."
He's more happy about one of his favorite companions being here with him and he turns his head to face Jack. "I'm happy to see you too Captain."

When she pulls away to look at him properly, she smirks and grabs his chin, "Got a bit of a chin there!" She looks him up and down, "And not quite as skinny as you were before. And the hair, bless!" She arches an eyebrow, "Bow ties, really? I mean it was bad enough you had that suit you never changed, but bow-ties?

There was the one that creeped into his TARDIS and who is likely poking around in his basement still. "I was getting worried about you." Jack turns around to look at the old TARDIS behind him and he gives her door a pat. "Nice to see you too My Girl." He gives her another good pat and he should get them back to their work in question. "We're here about a problem with the TARDIS. My TARDIS and the TARDIS of Donna's Doctor. They're not working. Again."
no subject
"My TARDIS is working just fine. I think yours may of wanted a nap and I'm not sure what the other me did to his." The Doctor's sure it's not him and he lets go of Donna. "Oh, she looks great on the outside. I was feeling a bit Retro in the police box look." He gives her a good pat back and he pulls the doors open. "Oh, come take a look in side both of you. I'll also prove to you she's working just splendidly."
no subject
She follows him in, shocked that he pulled the doors open, instead of pushing them like on the other TARDIS she's been in. She looks around, "She's lovely."
She raises an eyebrow to Jack, hoping he'll get the Doctor to tell them why his is working when the others aren't.

The new look is very nice and he offers her a smile. "Oh, you look good girl." He says, with a sassy voice and a wave of a hand. Jack looks over towards Donna and he wanders over towards his Doctor. "Okay, mind explaining to me why your TARDIS is working?" His voice is firm and he's going to try to command an answer from the Time Lord.
no subject
"Oh, isn't she gorgeous! She's..." The Doctor isn't going to say the sexy word again in front of Jack. "Drop dead gorgeous!" He looks back at Jack and he listens to him tell him the other TARDIS aren't working and he frowns. "Okay, now that's not good and no I don't exactly know why she's working. It could be due to the fact she just finished rebuilding herself. Well she had plenty of time to do that after my quick trip to the moon."
He snaps a finger and he goes to close the door, no need for a walk through the desert when he can have her take a quick trip back home. "Mine isn't the only TARDIS working is it? I know there were others here when I was last here." He begins to pull levers and he plugs in the coordinates to place him somewhere in between Donna's and Jack's TARDIS.

Donna answers the Doctor's question, "We don't know. My Doctor sent me out to see if any others were. I came across Jack first and he led me to you."
no subject
"Still, Prisoner Zero spoke about that it wasn't responsible for the cracks. Then there's that riddle of Silence will Fall." Jack's eyes fall on his Doctor and he asks him. "Where did you find this crack in the wall?"
no subject
There's a long frown on his face and he doesn't like the sound of this either. This isn't the same when his TARDIS simply lost power due to the massive Rift spike. "Well we can always fancy a trip to Leadworth before we poke into the mystery surrounding the TARDIS. It was a very strange little village."
He stops and he makes mention of the pond. "How can one call a duck pond a duck pond when there's no ducks?!"
no subject
Well, it is as good an explanation as any other. But she gets stern at the mention of going somewhere else, "No! I-I mean, no." Her voice softened, "It's just, if I go off with you, who's to say when I'll meet up with my Doctor again?"
no subject
He walks over to place a hand on Donna's shoulder. "She's right, and I do have other obligations to take care of."
no subject
He clasps his hands together as he goes to make something very clear. "Oh, now where's the fun in slowing down? I've never slowed down from the moment I borrowed my TARDIS." One day she'll correct him on that one but now isn't the time. "I think we should investigate yes, but if my TARDIS is the only one working then this would of course mean we get to run. I haven't had a good romp in a bit."
He has with Prisoner Zero but one with his friends all in the TARDIS. "Donna, tell your Doctor and anyone else in his TARDIS to join with me. Jack I'm going to need Torchwood's assistance and anyone else who can help with this. I suspect the problem with the TARDIS maybe bigger than we expected it to be."
He's going to make sure that Torchwood is not going to have any hanky panky in his TARDIS. "In other words its going to be full of fun and adventure."

Mostly, Donna didn't want to be kidnapped again. And as much as she trusted the Doctor, this felt a bit like that.

He knows the universe itself is in trouble and it's what they do. "I wonder if everything here is connected somehow. The stars, sun and then these cracks you were speaking about."
no subject
"The universe may depend on us Captain and Donna. I'll need everyone here to help and that includes your Doctor and even Master." The Doctor is sure Jack won't be comfortable with that but he knows one thing The Captain places the lives of those on Earth above all others.
He parks the TARDIS besides the TARDIS belonging to Donna's Doctor. "If we're down to one TARDIS and if there's something controlling events here on Earth then it's up to us to find it and stop it. The stars and cracks could be connected Jack. Prisoner Zero did say the cracks are have spread through out time and space itself."

He flips his new sonic in the air and he catches it in his hand. He then returns to Donna's question about Prisoner Zero. "Prisoner Zero managed to escape an extra-dimensional prisoner through a crack in a wall of a young girl's room. Apparently, Prisoner Zero is not responsible for the creation of this crack. It seemed to think I somehow know exactly how these cracks were formed."
He examines his new sonic and he eventually places it back into his jacket pocket. "The Silence will Fall? I suppose it was a bit of a thing to intimidate everyone in Leadworth Hospice."
no subject
She paused to think, "So are these cracks what's causing the TARDIS to loose power?"
no subject
He almost hates to think about it and he looks between the two and he bites the corner of his lip. "Maybe it's something to do with those Time Lords from that trial. If anyone can have selective TARDIS controls it would be your own people Doctor."
no subject
He stops and no that doesn't seem to make sense in his mind. "No, no that makes no sense at all. I think we have a true mystery as to why your TARDIS isn't work. It isn't the Fast Return switch is it? Blimey, that was a terrible thing to have break. It about drove me mad when I was just a white haired lad."
He shakes his finger in the air and of course it isn't the Fast Return switch of the TARDIS or things would really go sour. "Prisoner Zero said this has spread through Time and Space. Jack, please get your team ready to join me in the TARDIS along wiht anyone else who's up for one amazing summer vacation. We can write papers about how we've spent our summer vacations at the end!"
The Doctor knew how worried Donna would be about the mention of those Time Lords and he wanders over towards her and places his hands on her shoulder. "Donna. There is noway in Rassilon that I would of left any sort of loop hole for them to come back. Ever."
no subject
She's not quite as fine as she's making herself out to be, but she's trying hard!
She sniffs, "So, you I don't know how I'm gonna convince my Doctor and that lot to come here, but I'll do what I can."
no subject
The Doctor has begun to take charge and Jack is willing to jump for him. "I'll let them know and we'll get some supplies gathered." He goes to walk down the stairs and he offers Donna a hand. "Go tell your Doctor and we'll work from there."
no subject
He finally lets her go and he folds his hands together. "Please, Captain we're going to need everyone here. Donna, I know my old self he can be a bit of a stubborn old man sometimes. Still, he knows the importance of what's happening."
no subject
With that, she headed to the doors to do exactly that.

"Happened? No this is happening now Amy. Still I take it your exploring the wonders of sunny California, yeah? Can't beat it can we. No, it's not your home in Leadworth."

"Are you okay Amy?" The Doctor asks her, a bit worried and he goes to wander back into the newly rebuilt TARDIS. "She looks great inside doesn't she?"

He's going to get things together with a big old list to hand to Ianto once the Welshman arrives. "I should have a party right? I mean if the universe is going to end and we're going to save it with the chance of all of us dying, we should have a party right?" That was totally out there in left field but that's alright.
"I'm still in my early 900's," The Doctor tells her about his age, in big letters he adds, Jammy Dodgers to the list. "Party hats, Jammy Dodgers and fish fingers."
