Look who's back in town

When: After wild wild life plot

What was intended to be a short vacation turned out to be a long romantic getaway, with Lynn and her boyfriend traveling the world and being tourists in as many countries as they could.  The time was nothing but happiness even though her real life responsibilities nagged at her.  It took several weeks before she convinced herself it was time to return.

A deciding factor in that was a strange shard that she held in her hand.  An hour went by as she stared at it,as she realized that it was no ordinary artifact.

It was nothing but a lovely day out and Alisa was going to take the twins for a bit of 'hookie' if that was even possible when Torchwood was concerned.

Central Park couldn't look any more majestic with loads of flowering trees, near clear skies and summer is just around the corner. Alisa's got a pineapple shaved ice and she's on the bench letting her six month old sons try this out. With the first signs of teething the cold treat is a blessing for both mom and the twins.

"They're so big now." Lynn remarked, after watching the three for a moment. "They're all wonderful and you look great. It's been a very long time, hasn't it?"

She was relaxed, even if concerned about her recent findings. Lynn's trip did her a lot of good.

David is happy to be munching on the pineapple flavored ice, it's a bit of a treat and Jon's got a little ice ring to nom on. Alisa looks up up from her seat and there's the treat of that 'bump'. "It's hard to tell how long anything's been."

Alisa knew some staff went missing due to the Rift or personal reasons, Jack understood the nature of this universe as did most of them. "I'm feeling great, as for yourself?"

"No fewer than several months." Lynn said, looking over Alisa and the two babies. Her eyes go to the bump, and she isn't sure what to say, other than congratulations.

"Congrats" she gestured to the 'bump'. "I'm feeling wonderful. The best I have in years."

"Time travel it distorts time, I could be gone no more than a day from here and in reality I was gone for months," Alisa's track of time has gone to shit and she continues to feed David who demands more of the cold watery treat. "You like this don't you?"

She looks down at the bump with a smile on her face. "It's four months? I just got back from a trip to 'New New York' for a check up. Would you believe twins again?"

"I understand that." Lynn said, after a moment "I was going by the age of the babies. There's no real way to measure... and for me it's been that long."

Lynn smiled widely "Really? That's great. Babies are so wonderful. My race is sterile so I could never... so I like to see other peoples. Everything is going well? That's wonderful."

"I've kept these two home until recently. There's been no time travel and the trip to New New York was an overnight stay." Alisa doesn't want them to grow-up so fast, it's still too dangerous to drag them on a trip in the TARDIS.

She listens to Lynn explain to her about her race and she leaves David with the spoon to nom on. "I've been leaving these guys with my parents during work hours.." She looks down at her bump and she runs her hand along it. "Things are going great, there's a lot less anxiety this time around. I'm working more than the first but I'll have another month before my butt's glued to a desk."
