Wake up in the morning, feeling like [insert celebrity here]

Waking up in Ten's TARDIS was always something different for Logan; he never really knew where he put his head down and nod off. With no concept of time and space, his internal clock was disoriented considerably. Werewolves, at least in his universe, guided themselves by moon cycles. No moon or night to speak of, it was messing up his sleeping patterns. This was aggravated even more so after the Time Lords trials. The worry it caused Avalon was akin to saving a man from the death penalty in America. To be honest, he'd much rather have been by his Doctor's side and providing company and legal counsel, the former much more relevant. He was a companion of the Gallifriean man but the lawyer felt as if he failed him.

He was not pleased when he didn't find coffee or any meat in the fridge but regardless, went out to look for the Doctor. "Doc? You here?"

There's a confused look when he's 'nipped' but then there's the relief on his face. "I've always been able to understand others. But, thanks for the..." He lifts his finger to look at the space between his hands. "The gift..." He wiggles his fingers.

"You want the basics don't you?" The Doctor goes to turn a dial on the console. "Miami? I suppose we can visit Miami." The Doctor might end up taking to Miami of the future or of the past, it's one mystery of traveling with this man.

"Miami it is then!" And they're off.

The TARDIS does eventually land and it sets itself down in Miami in the 23rd century. The doors open and they find themselves among a crowded South Beach and The Doctor looks at Logan. "You might be better off standing when I do that."

He goes to close the doors. The Doctor gives a cheery smile to his canine companion and he wanders off to get his straw hat and his sunglasses. "I'll be back in a moment."

The one thing Logan is going to get is there's no such thing as a vacation with The Doctor. There's a good chance that he's going to get a crash course in this one.

The Doctor grabs hold of a lawn chair and he goes to stand by his twin. This isn't to say he won't stand out in his big brown coat and pinstripes. "I'm just hoping this is the right year in the 23rd." He bounds over towards the doors with his chair in hand and he pushes it open.

The beach is crowded but nobody seems to be in the water. "It's warm and sunny, but the people don't seem to be interested in the water." The Doctor points to the sun bathers who are wise to keep away from the water's edge. He tosses his chair back into the TARDIS and he sees signs all over the edge of the beach. "There's signs. I'm wondering if you're up for a bit of light reading."

There's warnings in numerous languages on the sign, there on the board is an image that appears to be a squid. "Squid..." The Doctor squints his eyes and he wonders other than the giant type what harm there can be.

The TARDIS should translate the signs for Logan into English, and there he sees in bold writing.

Warning: No Swimming.
Warning: Giant Squid.

The Doctor looks to Logan while he tugs at his chin in thought. "Now, we both know that there should be no risk to humans. Well, now that is of course if this isn't your typical Bikini Bottom resident."
