Wake up in the morning, feeling like [insert celebrity here]

Waking up in Ten's TARDIS was always something different for Logan; he never really knew where he put his head down and nod off. With no concept of time and space, his internal clock was disoriented considerably. Werewolves, at least in his universe, guided themselves by moon cycles. No moon or night to speak of, it was messing up his sleeping patterns. This was aggravated even more so after the Time Lords trials. The worry it caused Avalon was akin to saving a man from the death penalty in America. To be honest, he'd much rather have been by his Doctor's side and providing company and legal counsel, the former much more relevant. He was a companion of the Gallifriean man but the lawyer felt as if he failed him.

He was not pleased when he didn't find coffee or any meat in the fridge but regardless, went out to look for the Doctor. "Doc? You here?"

The Doctor hasn't returned to the regular time stream after sealing off one of the major cracks through his universe. He's seated at the console of his TARDIS as they drift through the depths of unknown space in the 78th century.

He looks up from his thoughts and he shakes his head with a small grin. "I'm here, always and willing." The trial took a lot out of the Time Lord and he was distressed to see his friends treated the way they were.

"Oh, really sorry, just enjoying the view of a view." The Doctor's smile grows and he runs his hand along his jaw line. "I should consider going back to Earth."

The Doctor looks over his shoulder for a bit. "I'm glad this is all over. We can finally get back to our own lives, I should take us back to Earth. A vacation eh?"

The idea of a vacation gets a smile from The Doctor and he knew Jack's crew went back to California to begin work on the HUB facilities there. "I could stand for a vacation." He turns around to head towards the controls of the TARDIS and he begins to set coordinates.

"Midnight is a little over played.." The Doctor offers at random and he makes a loud MMMMM sound. "There's places on Earth and places not on Earth. Well of course who wants to see Earth?" He stops himself short when he says anything more about the man's home planet.

"I was thinking of poking, no Jack I think has seen enough Time Lords for now. We'll respect his privacy in old California for now." The Doctor thinks and he mmms. "I was thinking somewhere warm. Oh Rio?"

When he suggests Rio something always tend to go wrong with The TARDIS pulling himself where to save the universe from some power mad creature. The TARDIS shudders when he pulls one of the levers and slips through the Vortex. "Well there's always the important rule of not wandering away from..."

He reaches with one hand while another helps guide the TARDIS along for a big bone he found somewhere. He hands it over to the wolf. "I need to put her on shuffle mode for you one day."

There's a confused look when he's 'nipped' but then there's the relief on his face. "I've always been able to understand others. But, thanks for the..." He lifts his finger to look at the space between his hands. "The gift..." He wiggles his fingers.

"You want the basics don't you?" The Doctor goes to turn a dial on the console. "Miami? I suppose we can visit Miami." The Doctor might end up taking to Miami of the future or of the past, it's one mystery of traveling with this man.

"Miami it is then!" And they're off.

The TARDIS does eventually land and it sets itself down in Miami in the 23rd century. The doors open and they find themselves among a crowded South Beach and The Doctor looks at Logan. "You might be better off standing when I do that."

He goes to close the doors. The Doctor gives a cheery smile to his canine companion and he wanders off to get his straw hat and his sunglasses. "I'll be back in a moment."

The one thing Logan is going to get is there's no such thing as a vacation with The Doctor. There's a good chance that he's going to get a crash course in this one.

The Doctor grabs hold of a lawn chair and he goes to stand by his twin. This isn't to say he won't stand out in his big brown coat and pinstripes. "I'm just hoping this is the right year in the 23rd." He bounds over towards the doors with his chair in hand and he pushes it open.

The beach is crowded but nobody seems to be in the water. "It's warm and sunny, but the people don't seem to be interested in the water." The Doctor points to the sun bathers who are wise to keep away from the water's edge. He tosses his chair back into the TARDIS and he sees signs all over the edge of the beach. "There's signs. I'm wondering if you're up for a bit of light reading."

There's warnings in numerous languages on the sign, there on the board is an image that appears to be a squid. "Squid..." The Doctor squints his eyes and he wonders other than the giant type what harm there can be.

The TARDIS should translate the signs for Logan into English, and there he sees in bold writing.

Warning: No Swimming.
Warning: Giant Squid.

The Doctor looks to Logan while he tugs at his chin in thought. "Now, we both know that there should be no risk to humans. Well, now that is of course if this isn't your typical Bikini Bottom resident."
