When: After The Trial
Where: New York HUB/His Flat
Ianto is left to watch Jack's two sons for a bit, he had volunteered to do it but neither are being very cooperative as far as two five month old's go. They're far from cooperative and with two screaming kids in his flat it's going to make for a long day. It's not like he didn't volunteer his services.

"I need help. I tried singing and it sounded terrible. No wonder they're still crying." He wants to admit to the big thing. "I'm total crap with babies and children."

She frowns at Ianto before admitting, "I can't sing, either. Even if I could all I know are Beatles song some of the stuff the Doors did and I'm not singing Light My Fire to a baby!" She tries singing anyway after nothing else works, letting out a couple of lines of The Beatles' All You Need is Love. Maybe it'll work.

"I think they miss Alis and Jack. It's understandable they spent a few days with Rhys." Ianto grumbles a bit about Gwen's husband and he wanders over to get Jon. Ianto tries his best attempts. "I don't think Light My Fire is good for a baby no."
David does perk up a bit at Liz's singing but he then goes back to crying. "It might be the entire cereal thing we tried earlier."

"Here, trade with me." Liz holds the crying David out to Yan and nods to Jon. "He seems to like Lennon. Try I am the Walrus or something." Liz continues to hum the song, hoping it does something. "What do Jack and Alisa listen to? Maybe that'll make them feel for comfortable?"

He could use Patrick, he's done this before, well not but maybe even Angie could be of help. "I just think he likes you." David starts up again and Ianto pats his back to see if it is gas. "Jack likes lots of old jazz from the World War 2 era. Alisa's a bit well modern...lots of R&B. I'm not singing Beyonce."

When David starts to cry she moves closer so he can hear her sing, too. She stop and searches her thoughts for that annoying earworm of a song that got stuck in her head once. The chorus comes to her and soon she's repeating the halo part of Halo again and again.
"God, I'm no good at this baby stuff!" Liz says, full of frustration.

He digs into his pocket and he finds a new pacifier and he tries it. Jon accepts it and David eventually takes to the more pop singing.
Ianto goes to take the other twin. "You did pretty good. I know neither of us could win at any talent contest with our singing."

"I did good? I mean...you think I'm gonna be a good mom?" She stops and looks away a moment. "If...I..." She exhales sharply before shaking her head. Might as well just come out with it. "Yan...Owen and I are gonna be...yeah..." She gestures to the twins. "We're having one of those."

No. No. Not Teletubbies. It catches the attention of the twins and they babble happy babbles and get a little fussy when the channel is changed. "Lovely.." He groans and he switches the channel back to what kept those two happy.
Then he hears Liz tell him she's pregnant and there's a look on his face. "No.." He goes to place a hand to her forehead. "You told Jack right?" He knows Liz will fight them tooth and nail about sitting at a desk. He forgoes the idea of Owen being a father even if it's funny to think. "Congratulations I suppose, right congratulations..."
The idea of the staff living this long means they get a chance to spread those seeds of theirs.

"No, no way." Liz shakes her head emphatically. "I'm fine. This fire never lets anything happen to me anyway. The worst that'll happen is something will take a bite out of me like it usually does and Owen's gotta stitch me up." She puts her hand on Ianto's arm, her tone pleading. "I can still do my job. Don't take that away from me, Yan. Don't make things change. I hate when things change."
"Thank you," it's in response to the congratulations and a preemptive thanks for not telling their boss about this.
