Jack's Smashing Party!
The Doctor was asked to help do the greeting of Jack's guests, he's standing there trying to keep his hands from walking over towards a pile of pizza boxes. The Time Lord sways on his feet and he goes to walk towards the ball room doors that the party is going to be held in. "I was really hoping for the beach party." He even had an outfit lined up for that one that wasn't his tuxedo and bow tie.
With the doors open, he's there to lend out a hand and he was kind enough to help transport people to New York. "Well, welcome to Jack's party, if you were expecting a meal for a king...well if you're the King of the Pizza people this is it for you lot." That Lombardo's Pizza is tempting and he's trying to keep his Meta-Crisis from helping himself before everyone arrives.
The band consists of a few random street musicians who were willing to play on demand. "Ah, that's lovely. The sounds of New York City are happening right here!"
OOC: This is a typical social gathering thread. There's no pose order but please be mindful of the other players involved. It will continue so long as people tag to it, make sure to track this one!

Yes, it is blue... TARDIS blue, as is only appropriate. She sees Ten going after the pizzas and wanders over to him.
"Don't you think you should wait until the party's started?"

He glances at the other bits of odd, there's mini hot dogs and your basic party nibbles. "Oh, there's lots of nibbles here." He looks back at Romana and he smiles brightly. "Oh, you look lovely, its TARDIS inspired right?"

She wouldn't let me out unless I was wearing something blue....
[She looked him up and down.]
You cleaned up nice as well.

He's sure to find others out there without fancy clothes. The Doctor's eyes light up at the sight of a tray of crab balls. "Ooh, these look nice." He takes one of the sword poked crab delights at least they managed 'normal' food for the occasion. "I think Jack will like this myself."

And, of course, as soon as they enter the meta-meta wants to make a beeline for the pizza. Andrew grabs his hand and holds him back. "Let's say hello to some people first, alright?" he asks quietly, though really, he just wants to stop the meta-meta from pigging out and giving them both stomach aches.

His own hand is there in his nice suit with a fancy top hat to add to it. He watches Meta-Meta and he ohs. "He wants the party nibbles. I don't think Jack wants his food to go missing now."
The Doctor was going to consider going to the 51st century to get a nice bottle of hypervodka but he wants to avoid people getting sick or a 51st century orgy.

It's good to see you both.

He steps out from the kitchen doors with his Meta-Crisis in a suit. "Evening." He tells the rest and he looks to see if Jack and Patrick eventually arrived.

Looking around, she saw people she knew and people she didn't. Though, the only people she had met so far was the Doctor, Liz, and Jack of course. He had told her that the other team members were here and alive, but she had to see it in person. Reaching up, she wiped a tear away, unsure who to go see first.
Hesitantly, she made her way over to Ianto. "Yan," she asked, gently rocking Anwen in her arms.

A smile crossed his face, he was happy to see her here and he walked over towards her. This has to be the one, the one who has a child. "Hello Gwen." He's gotten used to being that dead man walking and he glances down at the little one in her arms.
He looks back up to her and he shifts on his feet a bit. He's used to being a ghost to the various Jack's he crossed. "It's a pleasure to see you here tonight."

He recalls the last party for a Jack they had and it simply went badly. He waits to see if Liz will join him there. "This is all going to go to shit."

"I look stupid, and you look like you just came from the mall. No fair." She grumbles and leans against the bar. "Nobody's gonna get the joke. I feel like I'm dressed up for Halloween." Liz grumbles and grabs for a scotch. "Nice to be back in New York, though." She adds after a huge sip of liquor.

They're back in New York, he's got his medical stuff here and he's simply happy to be back somewhere close enough to home. "Want a drink?" He asks her and he then looks at the dress. "You look gorgeous Liz." He's trying to be honest with her about this and he nods towards his jacket. "If you feel that repulsed by it? You can borrow my jacket."
"Yeah, it is nice to be back here. Los Angeles is nice but our work is mostly here still."

Oh well, He puts on a bright smile and glances around the room. Hoping to spot a nice quiet corner to sit in and wait.

He notices this one is off and he goes to join him in the nice quiet corner. "Nice corner, yeah?" The Doctor asks him and he looks at the suit. "And, you look completely smashing."

"Confusing doesn't begin to sum it up," he murmured to himself. Looking back over his shoulder, he peeked to make sure Jack was with him. He was strong. He could do this. He didn't need Jack beside him as he entered an unknown situation. And yet, he really wanted Jack there with him. At least till he got a proper drink.

He tried the best he could to explain things to Jack during the flight into Central Park across the street. It was a mad and wet dash across the street and Jack tried to keep themselves from being bounced off a few taxi bonnets. Alisa left to return the helicopter to the heliport and to get the twins.
He finally stops to look at the room full of people that he knows and he blinks a bit. He's wet and he looks at the other Jack. This is awkward for Jack and he looks to the pool of water on the hardwood floors.
His name is posted everywhere on there and he tries to fight back at tear or six. There's the missing factor of his wife and sons.

"I'm so sorry, Jack. I didn't mean to ruin your party," he says softly. Reaching over, he takes Jack's hand in his, giving it a squeeze. It's then that he looks down at Jack's hand and sees the wedding ring. It was a ring he hadn't been wearing yesterday. Somehow he'd missed it in the helicopter. Slowly, he pulls his hand back. If the man's wife is here, he doesn't want to get Jack in trouble.
"Is there a loo around here? Maybe I can go get toweled off?" His head tilts to the side and he raised a hand, motioning to the party. "You're not as wet as I am. You're still pretty well off." With everything that Jack had said to him on the way over, he thought maybe getting a few minutes alone might clear his head.

She steps through the doors wearing a red laced dress (http://www.polyvore.com/new_york_party/set?id=29262779) and the boys are in little tuxedos (http://www.polyvore.com/red_carpet/set?id=28701952). It was a long night and she goes to find Jack among the people that are there.
She smiles at the sight of Jack's friends who are there and she looks at the people mingling. It was to be a surprise but with the man they picked out from the East River that didn't happen. "Glad to see everyone made it tonight." She offers with a smile and she lets Jon nom on the strap of her dress.

The pizzas the smell of normal food and then even more important his friends. He loudly clears his throat to try to get everyone's attention. "I'm glad that everyone was able to come." Sure it was to be a coordinated surprise party but Jack's still surprised as he stands there with David in his arms. "I know everyone was looking forward to jumping out and yelling surprise, but believe me I am really surprised to see everyone here."
He gives his best attempt at a speech for one of these things, he's gotten good at those or he always was. "It's been a year come Sunday since the universe began to bring everyone here. It's a bit of an irony that I picked Friday as a day to celebrate my birth. Trust me, I don't exactly remember my actual birth date."
He shifts a bit to fix David's position and he continues with his little speech. "I'm hoping for another great year with a room full of my friends that are here today and many more than will come. It's not the gifts that everyone has brought for me that matters but it's the people came here."
