Jack has brought the two expecting mothers off Earth to get some experts to look into them. He's preferred it this way due to the lack of prying eyes and to make sure everyone's healthy. Owen couldn't argue simply due to the fact Liz's body temperature would be cause for concern on Earth.
The four have to wait apparently so Owen went to take Liz to grab a bite to eat. The Earth is long gone and part of history now thanks to the sun having expanded. The view of the city and outside is breath taking and Owen's staring out at the city. "You know Liz, this isn't half bad." He's going to try to be polite and he had mentioned to her the doctor is a 'cat'.
"You know, we found Hendrix the other day, poor cat must of gotten lost outside," Owen's going to make for any old conversation as he orders a 'burger'. He's sure the cow is extinct at this point and he's not going to ask who's body went through the meat grinder.
