Andrew got the message from the Time Lords - he got it loud and clear when he was awakened by the agonized screaming of the Meta-Meta. Even when the noise of the rift had passed after a few minutes, the pain and fear had continued to reverberate through the psychic link between them. The Meta-Meta had remained hysterical about it for nearly half an hour afterward, and even now he looked shaken.
It was hard to say whether the Gallifreyan voices both of them could now hear in their heads had been the cause or the result of the rift activity. It was unnerving, and the direct mental message to the pair of them, demanding that they find a way to transport themselves to Gallifrey, left both Andrew and the meta-meta frightened over the Time Lords' intentions. Now, though, he's starting to get angry.
