An Old Friend

When: Masters Wardrobe
Who: The Guide/OTA
Where: The Camp

What:

The Guide is more than what anyone may think he's here for a reason and that's to seek out the Children of Time and the countless Doctor's that are there. He of course did not forget Master and the black dragon on his shoulder is reserved for the other Time Lord.

The Guide is here for a reason. The old friend of The Doctor's from so long ago may have an important message to give once everyone is in place. Still for now he has with him a task to keep those here so the message can be given. The animals with him are young and he has been selective with the gifts to make sure they're fitting with their owners.

(OOC: The pets may end up as part of a plot later in the future or they're simply sparkly cool pets from an old friend of The Doctor's. He'll be there to give a message and a gift to both Eleven/Traken once they're free.))

The Master gave the man a sharp look at the hint towards familiarity, but didn't respond. His attention was soon absorbed in the dragons, playing on the ground. Kneeling down, the Master watched in something close to awe. Something about this situation was confusing him greatly, but there was no denying the beauty of the beasts before him. Smiling, the Master took off his gloves, holding his hand out towards the dragons.

"Come here, pretty," he coaxed.

He watches the two dragons and he's interested to see which of the two will call Master their master. The larger red dragon lifts her head up and she begins to head over towards him. There's of course the issue of one black unicorn that's going to nudge Master.

The black dragon seems uninterested and it goes back to its perch to watch. The red gives the fingers a sniff and there's a warm huff of smoke to go with it.

"There's something to say about legends. Sometimes they don't die out when people believe that they shall." He holds out on saying the name of the familiar Time Lord. He saw this one before on Gallifrey when he went mad for that search for immortality.

"Things rarely die out as completely as people imagine and all legends have a basis in fact," the Master agreed.

He turns and offers his hand to the unicorn, letting it settle, before stroking its muzzle lightly. Turning back to the dragon, the Master pets the top of her head, noting how smooth her scales are and the way they hold a slight, iridescent glitter.

"I'm glad these exist somewhere. They're such magnificent creatures."

"And sometimes they're set to make a come back when the time is right or under the right conditions." He seems to be trying to toss the faintest hints towards the travelers.

The unicorn's young and it seems to take a liking to Master. "Its good that somehow they managed to survive. Still Earth is or was they're home. It was some task that somehow they were able to survive somewhere." The dragon gives Master another nudge and it snorts a puff of flame into the air. "She's quite sure of herself and rather confident. I think she is going to let you be her master."

The Master smiled. He hadn't come looking for a pet, but...the idea of keeping this animal close appealed to him, somehow. He frowned, though, thinking of the Earth, his TARDIS...he shook his head. Still petting the red dragon, he argued with the old man...and himself.

"Earth's animals are being destroyed almost daily. Magical ones might survive better than the non-magical ones, but might not. I'm not even from Earth. Any creature coming with me would spend time there, certainly, but I live on my ship. I've been a traveler for a very long time."

[identity profile] whitehairedlord.livejournal.com 2012-03-08 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes, that's because the humans lack any respect for their resources. The Earth of the 53rd century is a farcry from that of the 21st century. The magical ones may have a better chance of survival, yes. I am well aware that you're not from Earth, Time Lord." Borusa is keeping his calm and he looks at Master. "Consider it a chance to tie your feet to the Earth at least for sometime. This creature ages rather slowly and there will be entire generations of humans born before it's large enough to shadow over cities."

He looks at the young unicorn that's still interested in Master and eventually walks away. "Either it will depart to live a life like the adults of this world or it will remain with you."

Well, abandonment was a new accusation, though the Master was confident he had been accused of everything else. He reached up to stroke the little unicorn's mane, glancing at it and the dragon. He wondered why the old man wanted the Master to have ties to the Earth and who the old man had been. Somehow, he doubted he would ever know, if he walked away from all of this.

"Well, then, you two. Hm. What shall I call you, my pretty ones?"
