When: Master's Wardrobe Plot
Who: Ianto Jones [livejournal.com profile] mrcoffeejones/OTA
Where: The Manor House

What: Ianto wasn't sure he wanted to go but perhaps he could get some help as far as Ivy's concerned. That and The Doctor toted the trip as being family friendly. Ianto was checking out the over done kid's rooms with hammocks and the excessive amount of toys in the room. Ianto picks up an old mechanical monkey with the symbols and he stares at the thing. It's creepy that's for sure and the entire place was exactly that. The Welshman can hardly believe anywhere in the middle of the German occupation of most of Europe was safe.

"So this is his idea of a vacation?" Ianto asked the monkey and he goes to put it on the hammock for Ivy. "I'd consider Rio or maybe a pleasure planet to be a vacation. Maybe even Rio in the 24th century would be better than this. At least I brought plenty of coffee. I hardly call postum drinkable coffee."

Of course Ivy knows that much, but it doesn't make being friends with someone any easier. Not only does she have the ( albeit well hidden) concerns any child would have meeting new people, but she has the added worry that Gray's not going to like her because she's 'weird'.

She notices. "I'm sorry." Ivy nearly pulls back, but Ianto is faster than she is. She lets out a sigh that's a mixture of content and worry. She nods her head gently against him before picking her head up with a smile. "I would like to watch the show, if I may." Yes, she knows EVERYTHING about My Little Pony, but she's never watched. It's not easy to keep a television functioning with how often magic and wizards had been around her before. "Please."

Perhaps that's why she likes him. Yes, Ivy likes Ianto very much. She spent great deal of time analyzing who would make a suitable family, and she's confident Ianto is still the right choice for that.

"Why are you afraid?" She asks, her head tilting worriedly. She doesn't care about the ponies anymore. They can figure that out later.

Oh, people can be so silly sometimes. "Did you know that statistically people who have someone who cares for them are less likely to die before their projected age of death?" Ivy asks very seriously.

"They exercise a greater level of caution in dangerous situation with the knowledge that there is someone who wants them to live other than themselves."

Ivy listens as he protests. Facts are as easy as breathing for her but emotions, and fear require The Archive to dig into a part of herself she's only recently discovered. The child. "I know it is frightening to allow others to be near you. They could hurt you, but you must remember they can also save you when you need saving."

She nods, pausing a moments before she hugs Ianto tightly. Patrick likes it when Ivy hugs him so she hopes Ianto feels the same. The hugs is quick though. "I have all I need now."
