Intro: Where's a Police Man when I need one?
When: Moving Day Plot
Who: Amelia Pond
praytosanta/OTA
Where: Lost and Wandering
What: Little Amelia has found herself wandering the desert alone. She's brave, she just faced one man in a blue box not long ago tear her kitchen apart and to poke some weird stick into that crack.
She's got her little suitcase in her hands and she's dressed for an English Easter. Amelia just hopes to find that police box with that strange man again, she's hungry and tired as brave as she is Amelia is still a child. She's along the highway that would take her towards the new Torchwood HUB and it's amazing that people just drive past her. She's scared, she's scared and on the verge of tears right now.

"You look lost."

"What are you looking for?"

She knows better than to talk to anyone who says things like that.

Hey, he's trying to help. He just does it . . . differently. Why does no one appreciate his efforts?

"Oh, oh, hey, easy," he said, holding his hands up for a second before reaching down to take a hold of her arms gently. "What're you running from?"

She stops to catch her breath and she looks up at Jack, maybe he's a copper here and she looks over her shoulder to see if the creeper isn't there. "Someone said something about kids and not having enough meat, officer." There's something about a look of authority that works when it comes to kids compared to the 'stereotypical' stranger who comes after kids.
"I think he might be one of those creepers you see on telly," Amelia eagerly whispers, of course there's that hope this one won't be just like the other.

"I suggest you get her safe, which is to say far away from me."
And that's the last you'll be seeing of the Master today, for which you can thank your lucky stars. Although he'd be offended if he knew.

He then noticed who was following her and he stood up, making sure that he had his gun handy just in case. Something slid through him and he couldn't pinpoint whether it was fear or disgust or something else. He made sure to slide his hand around the girls back, holding her close to his side.
"Don't worry about that, I will," he replied, watching him and kept his voice even for the sake of the child.
no subject
"You gonna arrest him?" Amelia's really hoping that he does. "I think he eats little kids." She's going to have to let this one know, and she figures he's more of a copper than her doctor. He might not rip apart her kitchen and spit food on the floor either.
She's not going to stray far from this man and when Master goes she's going to open up. She's too tired to even run anymore if she wanted to. The desert hasn't exactly been kind to her. "I'm lost. I ran away from home to look for him again."

Jack finally took in her condition and listened to her talk. "Look for who?" he asked, thinking this little girl looked awfully familiar. He couldn't place it right then and there.
no subject
Maybe she did but she knew it was very real. "He promised he'd me in his police box." It's amazing what a little kid will do with someone who seems trusting, and then there's one thing. "I'm hungry and need a plane ticket back to Leadworth."
no subject
"You take that and I'll take this. We'll go find you something to eat and then we'll get you home, okay?"
no subject
She takes the little doll that was fashioned out of a clothes pin. "He's a bit silly to be a doctor." She offers a smile and then her stomach takes over. The desert and the fact she's seeing American flags in front of the homes and businesses, maybe she's dreaming or her aunt managed to trick her with one of those darn pills. There were a few scattered pills on the ground the pills she would stuff in the suitcase to make her aunt think she was taking them. "Do you know him?"
no subject
"Ah yeah, I do," he said and smiled some, standing up straight and offering her his hand. "C'mon now, lets get you something to eat and then we'll go see about finding him." Jack knew he'd be able to somehow; and if he couldn't, he would make it his damn mission to do so.
no subject
"Do you live here?" She asks him and she hopes The Doctor comes to see him often.
