When: Master's Wardrobe 1941
Who: Owen Harper [livejournal.com profile] wanker4life/Liz [livejournal.com profile] lizfirestarter/OTA
Where: The Town Pub

What:

Owen wasn't about to just sit there and enjoy a little bit of time listening to fireside chats or just sit. It was bloody boring and Owen went to go dig up an old 36 Bently from the garage to take out to town.

He's still hurting from the pain in his chest and he's waiting for Liz to figure out the same. Its boring here. "Come on, I'm leaving if you lot want to go get something to drink. Harkness! You get to watch Robbie for the night!" He calls out from the driveway of the old manor.

"This is the most boring trip we've ever been on now! Come on why don't we go poke fun at Hitler?" Owen protests and he takes a deep breath. "I'd take Nazi zombies right about now."

Liz's eyes go shifty at the mention of the Doctor who had been MIA for so long. "Tenth regeneration." She says softly. "Yeah, I saw him. I thought he'd just regenerated but...guess not." She's not saying much either.

"I know that but..." She trails off. Part of her, though by now it's a very small part, still dreams of those white picket fences and 2.5 kids and all that domestic crap. "You're really OK with that?" Knowing Owen could handle it would make her brave enough to handle it, too. Enjoy it even. Maybe even love it, though she'd never admit it.

The mention of Robbie makes Liz nervous again. She's still not mentioned that ever growing fear her fire is genetic (in spite of there being no DNA evidence of it) to Owen. "Yeah, I know he's not like other kids. I mean, we made him on the TARDIS if the timing's right." She knows the odds are better than good that's when it happened. "He doesn't even have a real birthday if you think about it." Liz says sadly.

"A money machine?" Liz blinks, her jaw hanging open slightly. "You do know that can mess up the entire planet's economy, don't you?" Even so she blushes a little when Owen points out that their wedding could in fact be historic. "Oh, what the hell. We'll actually have a date to celebrate this time." She gets a blissful smile then. "Let's do it."

"You know this car needed leaded gas, right?" She grins at how happy it makes Owen, though. "Ed Begley Jr is gonna kick your ass." Liz adds, not entirely sure if she's teasing or not. You never can tell in California how seriously people take being green.

"And I'm here...not being a pilot or building planes or anything like that." Liz points out. She could, and would have, done that and then some, but that's neither here nor there. "Yeah, that's a good way to keep a lot profile. Nobody would think twice about a tiny chick in a dress taking a nut shot." Liz says, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
