What: Gwen has something to tell Jack.

Jack: Jack finally made his way home with the things that Gwen had requested -- several flavors of ice cream because she didn't really specify. He made his way to the kitchen and was putting these things away because he knew the ice cream had to go in the freezer immediately or it would start to melt all over their nice kitchen counters. And he couldn't really have that at all.

Gwen: Gwen came into the kitchen, smiling at him. She was wearing her normal attire, jeans and a comfy top. "Thank you," she said softly as she watched him put away the ice cream. He was very considerate. It was reasons like that which really made her love him. "What kind did you get, anyway?"

Jack: Jack looked at her. "Um. Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, cookie dough, cookies & cream and butter pecan. And banana. I don't know, you might have a desire," he joked and looked at her as he put it all away.

Gwen: She raised an eyebrow at him. "Wow, that's... a lot." She laughed. It was cute what he had done. Walking over to him, she hugged him from behind, rubbing her hands up and down his shoulders.

Jack: He smiled a little as he continued to put things away. "Yeah, well, covering all the bases because you didn't tell me which kind to bring you."

Gwen: "Oh, right. I'm sorry." She kissed the back of his shoulder. Hugging him, she then pulled away and moved over to the coffee machine. She had made decaf, he just didn't know that. "Well thank you. I'm sure it will get eaten."

Jack: Jack nodded some and smiled at her, kissing her hand when he brought it to his lips. "I'm sure it will."

Gwen "Charmer." She smiled and playfully fluttered her eyelashes at him. Pulling her hand away, she turned around and leaned back against him, as if they were dancing. "How was your day, dear," she said with a giggle.

Jack: Jack grinned and looekd at her, nodding some. "It was fine and how was yours?" he asked, watching her for a minute. She had said they needed to talk and he knew she was stalling.

Gwen : "I spent the day with the Doctor in the TARDIS." She smiled and turned around so that she was facing him once more. "It's very nice in there."

Jack: Jack snickered a little and watched her, leaning back against the counter, nodding a bit. "Yeah? And what did you do on the TARDIS all day?"

Gwen : "Had tea, of course. The TARDIS makes a great cup of tea. And maybe the Doctor helped a little when she lets him." She sipped her coffee, raising an eyebrow at him. "Should have been there. He has the best alien technology. Can't believe the things she can tell you."

Jack: Jack knew that she was stalling and he wasn't sure why. He watched her fo ra minute and smirked some. "Yes, I know what kind of technology she has," he joked.

Gwen : She blinked. He had to know by now. And he hadn't asked yet. Why? Her head tilted to the side and she smiled up at him. "You're going to be a father."

Jack: Jack grinned at her and tilted his head. Two could play that stalling game. "Really?" he asked, stepping forward and sliding his arms around her. It had been a long time since he'd heard those words.

Gwen : "Yes, really," she purred into his ear. Her hands rubbed up and down his back and she hoped he was happy at the news. "Not very far along, but it was there. Two heartbeats, mine and the baby."

Jack: Jack grinned against her neck and nodded some, nuzzling his nose against her jaw. "I'm thrilled. Absolutely thrilled."

Gwen : "I'm glad. Probably can see the child when I'm further along. I'm only a few weeks if that." She pulled back and took his hands in hers. "I hope it's a boy."

Jack: "And why do you hope it's a boy?" he asked, watching her for a minute. He kissed her lightly. "I love you."

Gwen : "I love you too." She kissed him back, a little more passionately than he kissed her. She was happy. She really was. She had a chance to think about it while waiting for Jack to come home and it was a good thing. She just hoped he would be there to help her through the next nine long months. "Yes, I already have a girl. I want a boy. Don't you?"

Jack: Jack grinned and shrugged. "Well, I'm not all that worried about it. I would be happy with either," he said and looked at her. "I'm going to be here for all your weird cravings."

Gwen : "Cravings." She laughed with him. "And mood swings. Among other things." Her smile started to fade a little. "It's going to be nine months. Anything could happen, Jack. We could have another crisis or just a reprieve. I'm worried."

Jack: Jack laughed a little and shrugged some. "Yeah, it's not our responsibility this time either," he replied and looked at her. "I love them, but ofr once, I'm going to be selfish and say that."

Gwen : "Really?" She couldn't help it. She was surprised to hear Jack taking that stance. And a little glad too. It hadn't been fun last time running and battling the 456 while pregnant. She did it because she loved it, but she'd been quietly worried about her daughter for most of the time too. "We have people to help. A larger team now. The other Jack wants a break too."

Jack: Jack tilted his head some and shrugged. "There are a ton of us. There are more people than ever to take the load. It's not on me. I'm freelance anyway. I can come and go when and if I please. I would prefer to work sparingly."

Gwen : She was torn about it. She loved what they did. It was a great thing. Still, now that she was pregnant, she new that she was going to have to slow down a little. Otherwise Jack would never let her live it down. "Sparingly is probably best."

Jack: Jack nodded some and watched her. 'We're both freelance. Unless it's needed, I'm staying away from anything major tat doesn't involve weevils or something."

Gwen: Gwen smiled and headed into the living room. "Weevils. I a'most miss them. They would be cake compared to what we've seen here."
