I don't want to stop working....
When: Moving Day Plot
Who: Alisa
enigmassweet/OTA
Where: The Torchwood Compound
What:
She's got three months left now and it's time to consider what to do with herself, Alisa's seated outside of the brand new compound at the pool over looking the ocean. She's busy with a very hungry pair of twins. "To think, I'm going to give you guys lots of time now." She's given more thought than just three months without running around with a gun in her hand to do the full time mom thing. "I think you guys need me here to be a mom and let dad do all the running right?"
There's papers about the neighborhood and things look better than expected. There were gifts from the neighbors for the boys and an expecting mother. It's interesting to see what the locals, or in some cases the very familiar faces brought them. "I'm going to give you two a warning, you're not going to knock up Angelina Jolie or any other celebrity kid. I know you've got dad's charming smile and lord knows what else, I don't need any threatening knocks on the door. I think she'll be able to kick my butt as an old woman."
Still there's the matter of the medical leave papers blowing in the wind under her laptop. "I need to send those to Uncle Ianto and Owen today. No more running after the big scary aliens until your brothers or sisters are born." There's also another envelope on the table with the return address of a hospital in New York City. "We could find out today if we want."

What the hell did I just do? Liz thinks as she looks down at her stomach, the realization that just because Owen was there doesn't guarantee she wouldn't get really, really hurt, or hurt their baby suddenly the first thing on her mind. She twitches at the thought of the worst happening, suddenly not wanting to be alone, even if the only other option is being next to the pool.
She grabs a towel from the pile and sits down next to Alisa. "Don't ask." She says with a smile as she looks at the papers under Alisa's laptop. "How's...everything?" Liz asks, knowing Alisa can take a hint.

Alisa puts aside the jar of baby food that consisted of something strained. The papers were put in to Ianto before he left for the strip club and there sits Alisa with a good sized belly on her already. "If it wasn't for the kids, I'd be climbing the walls right now." She looks over at Liz for a bit, she's still early and there's only one to worry about. "I'm off field work on my own request."
no subject
"Yeah?" Liz nods when Alisa mentioned she's off field work. "Is that, early for you or..." She turns her head to look at Alisa's stomach. "Right on time?" Liz asks softly. She knows down to the hour when she's 'allowed' to work until but somehow it's not as scary as it was a few weeks ago, the idea of being taken away from the blood, danger, violence and casualties. In fact, the idea's almost a comfort.
Liz notices the envelope and nods to it. "More paperwork?"

She tries to distract herself from the fact she left work early and she looks back at the twins who are babbling to one another. Jon's smiling at David and Alisa melts to see the features on the infant's face resembling Jack's. "It was just time, I need to start getting things ready for the other room and I need some strength."
"I'm working as Jack's help in the HUB or I network from here." She offers with a smile and then the envelope. "It's some major test I had and one of them included chromosomes." The gender of the twins and Alisa reaches for it wondering for a bit. "I should save it or do we take a peak. Princess dresses or do we get more baseball players?"

The clean-up work in the strip club was left to Ianto and Toshiko, the closed-caption video and of course the bodies. Jack hears the sounds of his own sons chattering away in their own language and he melts inside. He slides his coat off and he drapes it right over Alisa.
This gets the boys to laugh and smile at their father's antics. They're developing a sense of humor at this point in their life. "Okay, what's this about princess dresses and baseball players? We're not planning another one of those parties are we?" The envelope does catch Jack's attention and he's going to open it up to read it. "You're right it will be princess dresses and baseball players. Congrats Alisa, we're going to have a pair of twin girls."

He was wearing his trousers and a white t-shirt with his braces making his way to the pool. He heard the children babbling and it was a little disconcerting and strange for them to have his face; they had to be NY's twins and that was something. It wasn't helping his paternal instincts in any way. He geared himself toward the group without having much control over his actions at the moment.
He stepped up and opened his mouth to say something but instead heard that they were having twins again. "You don't do anything halfway, do you boss?"

Liz sighs, summoning up all her courage to tell Alisa that she might not be alone in the whole maternity leave thing very soon, but then of course, speak of the devil. Liz can't say anything now. Not after she practically begged Jack to let her work, after she pleaded with Jack and Owen to let her have this one thing to let her be her. Trouble is, the Liz that was and the Liz that...is aren't the same person anymore. She's got no damn clue who Liz Sherman is anymore.
"Girls. Not you have to buy all new stuff." Liz looks away a moment, feeling so awkward and out of place suddenly. "I should...I should go, let you two...um...plan stuff, or whatever." Liz stands quickly, planning to make a hasty departer and get the reminders of the fact she was a reckless fucking idiot today off of her when the newest Jack shows up.
Great, that's kind of rude to just up and flee when the new guy shows up, isn't it? Yup, it is.

Alisa was going to see what those two were doing just should it be something to stick on youtube and have it go viral, yup that's where her mind was going to go until the world goes dark. Alisa flails a hand about and she laughs. "You know for the king of being a nudist, a heavy..." Alisa slides her head out from under Jack's old security blanket. "...coat doesn't fit this nice weather we're having." It doesn't seem to matter that the evenings are cool either, she's loving it with a wrap around top and a pair of shorts. Shoes? She's barefoot and loving every bit of that.
Then she looks to see Jack read out the test results and there's a smile and she hears the new guy. "Yup, hey you can help out Liz." The 'halfway' remark get's a smile and she pokes at her belly. "It's not his fault for the dodgy plumbing."

Jack leans over to give Alisa a kiss before he takes a seat in one of the empty chairs. "We're forgetting, I have more than one of me and it's not that bad." He rolls up the sleeves of his dark blue shirt and he pushes them up past his elbows.
He laughs a bit at the dodgy plumbing and he offers a warm smile to both David and Jon. Jon reaches his hands out for one of the Jack's to pick him up, two that look a like. They're babies and well there's no confusion. Jon's hair is starting to curl up, his skin color is darkening up to a nice bronze. Jack's up and out of that chair to take his tank-top and hat loving son from his seat to hold. "Hey, there soldier! You got another Uncle Jack!"

He noticed out of the corner of his eye one of the babies was wanting to be held; that made his heart ache a little bit, that one not getting the attention and he seemed to be fighting the urge to go pick one of the boys up. "Ah bloody hell," he muttered under his breath and put on a smile. "Hey kid, c'mere," he replied, picking up one of the boys -- he wasn't sure which one, really -- but hiked him on his hip. "What's news kid? Liking the weather?"
no subject
"I'll just...shower later. Zombie guts are like slime, right? Probably good for your skin and hair." Liz smirks and looks at her boss before he hands over the baby. "We should open a spa and charge people thousands of dollars for zombie facial treatments."
Liz cock her head a bit, watching the newest 'Uncle Jack' with one of the boys. She snorts when he makes small talk with the kid. "How does he like the weather?" Liz is actually grateful to have a reason to get a bit of her comforting sarcasm back. "It's a baby, he doesn't have opinions on the change in climate."

Then there's the new Jack with David in his arms, a near splitting image of his brother and the sight of the two is heart warming. "If it was too hot they'll let you know." She stands herself up to introduce the other Jack to the one he's holding, but she stops to look at it for a bit. She knows it must be weird, it's weird for her sometimes to see doubles of her husband wandering around. "That's David and Jack has Jonathan, I think they're really enjoying the weather. I'm sure they're happy to be out of my Mum's house with the bottle snatching toddlers from hell." Not to mention they're getting lots of attention.
David could careless with the doubles but Skinny better watch those sunglasses!
The mention of Zombie guts gets a smile from Alisa, and she looks Liz over. "I say, we can take a bucket of full to that spa. The Barbie Patrol would love this stuff. Immortality in a bucket we can call it."
no subject
He nods his head towards the Skinny Jack and he did interrupt the ladies. "Let's go take these guys inside. I think we were interrupting the girls here. Yes, that means you two also." Jack wasn't going to forget David and often enough he's wandered around with both in his arms.
David's happy to investigate the braces on the other Jack and then there's that smile. That smile that makes every person in a room with him stop, it's Jack's smile and Jack looks at it for a bit. "It's strange isn't it?" He asks the other Jack almost knowing how he would feel and it's likely why the introduction took so long.
"No, babies know what's good and what isn't. They're going to cry and fuss if they're not content with their surroundings. The more relaxed you are the better, sun's good for kids."
no subject
When Alisa introduced him to the baby he was holding, he smiled some. "Nice to meet you, David, you like those, huh?" he asked, watching the boy play with his red braces. Something about the color red always fascinated babies -- Melissa had loved it when she was little and would always squeal in delight when anything red was near her. And when David smiled, it made him miss her in that small moment but he was trying hard to not let it show. When NY spoke, he looked up, a lost expression on his face. "Hm? Yeah, it is a bit, but it's not bad," he said, looking back down at the baby. "And yeah, sun never hurt anyone. Better to be outside than in, most times. Didn't hurt us any."
His tone was a little far away but he was changing that and put on a smile for the baby who was looking at him now. "We should go in, hm? Let the ladies continue their girl talk."

Liz feels immediately guilty that Jack and his 'twin' want to go, but she knows she's never been able to hide shit from her boss, no matter how hard she tried. Hell, that's why he's such a good boss.
"Sorry, I just... pregnant girl stuff." Liz nods and steps back near Alisa. "No offense, you guys will be bored if you stick around, right?" she glances at Alisa, hopeful she'll get some back up her on the innocence of the conversation.
no subject
She's gotten used to the idea that zombies tend to be alien in nature these days even if they act the same. The conversation derails back to the children and she watches the other Jack with the boys. A smile crosses her face and she mmms. "If you ever want to watch them or whatever, you're more than welcome to do so." She offers to the other Jack and most she's met are amazing with children. "They're so much fun at this age too. They're natural charmers just like dad."
Alisa knows all about girl stuff and she coughs. "The gross girly stuff. Liz why don't we go into Jack's TARDIS and we can talk in there while these two enjoy the nice weather without the gross girl stuff."
no subject
Jon scrunches his face up at the sudden change of his world and grabs the glasses from his face to nom on them before dropping them to the ground again. "The sun, I noticed that also and with the activity concerning the bodies along with our lovely living dead? I'm not sure if the two are related. The spike in activity? Yes. I think we've got bigger things right now to worry about than a bunch of princess zombies."
Jack takes a seat in a chair and he places Jon in his lap and he gives the Skinny him a nod of his head. "You'll get used to it. And, no it's not bad. I'm lucky we have had any showings of one Captain Crazy."
"See, there's the greatest use for extra Jacks!" Jack's voice brightens up at the idea of letting the others watch his children on occasion. "You were so worried about the entire sitter thing. There we go, problem solved." David's happy to continue investigating the braces on the other Jack and sure there's two, but he has no idea nor cares about this. "Hey, their mom's a natural charmer herself."
He laughs at Liz and Alisa when they mention boring both Jack's with gross or pregnant stuff. "I wonder if we've told you, we were pregnant once before."
