What:

The idea is to keep away from people so Alisa has gone to find one of the more secluded ponds in Central Park to drink and eat. She can't help those urges and that big body with two little ones inside needs lots of food.

She's stripped two trees naked and she's working on the growth in the pond to feed her constant hunger. "Why couldn't I of ended up a lion or something?" A couple of local birds are clinging to her to figure out this big old moving rock out. "Shoe birds, go away."

"Becausse life issn't fair?" the Master replies, with a sigh.

"This is just ironic." The Doctor mutters from the brush and he points towards the elephant. "You're better off as an elephant. There's nothing more respected or feared than an angry elephant mum."

Then he hears the snake in the grass and the chimp in him almost wants to kill it good with the stick he's using to forage for ants with. "Master or it's a snake in the grass..."

"Yesss, it'sss me.

"Well, one of me. There'sss another me that'sss a cheetah."

Alisa submerges herself under the pond water and she lets the lilies just float around her head. She keeps her trunk well over the water. "I seriously hate snakes."

Having Jack's Doctor close by was a bit of relief for Alisa. "I think you're sorta cute like that Doctor. At least you have working hands."

"Now that's irony. I'm sure it's not another case of the Cheetah virus now is it?" The Doctor wanders over towards the edge of the pond with his stick. "Right, you're both cold blooded and quite literally a snake in the grass Master."

"Apparently thisss thing hasss a ssensse of humor.

"That'sss kind of a mean thing to ssay, you know. Or would be, if I wassn't one right now."

Everything was a blur to Gwen. When the change happened in the zoo, staff had come running at her. Startled, she had ran and escaped from the zoo. She wanted to find Jack and the others, but she didn't even know who was who anymore. And that scared her. Even Torchwood hadn't prepared her for having furry hands and a tail.

Wandering up to the other animals, her ears perked when she realized she could understand them. "Doctor?" There was a pleading tone to her voice. "Please tell me one of you is The Doctor?"

Alisa's going to get a nice trunk full of water and in her mind she's looking to blast the snake with it. The maternal instincts of that elephant brain have kicked in. "You might want to find a nice rock to slither under."

The non-threatening kangaroo is a pleasure and she wonders if it's just another animal that came around. Alisa drinks the pond water instead. "The Doctor's the ape. I'm not being insulting with that one either." She wonders who the kangaroo maybe and she asks. "I'm wondering who you are."

"Oh, it's not mean of me." The Doctor plops his behind in the muddy banks of near the pond and he turns his head around to look at the new arrival. "See, there Alisa, you've given other animals their freedom."

He gives the kangaroo a great big smile. "Yes, I'm The Doctor. I believe that there's others in the zoo working on this now. We just need to keep an eye out for raccoons or slippery snakes."

"Doctor. I'm so glad." The kangaroo's head tilted to the side and she looked up at the elephant. The voice sounded familiar, but she couldn't place it. She knew it, she just didn't know who it was. She did know the Doctor, though. She was smiling, if they couldn't tell.

Gwen hopped closer to the Doctor, resting beside him. "It's me, Gwen Cooper." She sighed, reaching into her pocket and scratching lightly. "What is going on, Doctor? One minute I'm following Jack and Alisa, the next I'm a bloody kangaroo! I've never hopped, not even in university!"

The voice is now familiar and she leaves the snake in the grass be. "Gwen?" The elephant asks and she doesn't seem interested in leaving the pond other for anything else except to eat. She's got her eyes locked on the trees near by and her stomach is pushing her up to munch on the leaves.

"It's me, Alisa. Talk about a change of pace." She pulls herself out from the pond to take care of the business of feeding herself. "I wish that a hot dog was the best thing on Earth right now."

He knew he knew that voice from his recent meeting after Donna was sent back to her gramps. "Gwen Cooper!" He also knew her as Jack's Doctor. He knuckle walks over towards the kangaroo and he can offer her a hug with this body.

"I've always had a thing for bananas but this is a bit extreme. I'm going to say this machine knows us. We're not exactly sure but we have people on the inside."

"Alisa. Thank god, it's you." Kanga Gwen hopped up and down a little faster, looking excited to anyone who passed by. And she was excited. For once since she'd left the zoo, she didn't feel alone. When the Doctor hugged her, she hugged him back. She almost wished she had a camera. When else would you see a chimp hugging a kangaroo.

"Doctor, I'm so glad that you're here. What happened? What machine?" She plopped back down on the grass, reaching up to scratch one of her long ears. "Inside of what? I'm still not sure what went wrong. Did the Rift do this?"

"This body has one advantage it can open up doors and gates without much trouble." She was the reason Torchwood was able to free itself from the zoo and she reaches up into the tree to begin to strip the leaves to eat. "I just hope my girls are going to be okay." She's unsure if they're going to be girls but giving them something more than it seems nice.

She watches the Doctor hug Gwen, a chimp hugging a kangaroo is a picture image. She's going to add to it so how about an elephant hugging the best an elephant can do a chimp and kangaroo.

"Are we sure that this is a machine?" Alisa asks, with her trunk letting go and her head looking up at the sky. "It could be anything, I'm with Gwen on it being Rift related."

Aww, the Master wants a hug too! Why doesn't he get a hug? This sucks.

"It could be something Rift related but I suspect it is something else." The Doctor's going to leave it to the team already in the zoo and when he goes to let go he's hugged again.

"I don't think its the Rift seeing the entire city would of been turned into animals." The Doctor lets go and he sits down to grab hold of a rock to toss at the snake. "Please go crawl under this."

"You really aren't funny, Doctor. I'm not doing you any harm where I am, you know."

Gwen smiles and hugs one of Alisa's large elephant legs. She's happy to have found her friends, even in this situation. She listens to what the Doctor suggests, nodding her head in agreement. "The Doctor is right. It has to be something that is centrally located to the Zoo. Perhaps a device that was triggered by the Rift?"

Gwen looks up at the snake, not knowing who he is. Her head tilts to the side. "That wasn't nice, Doctor." She sighs, looking at the snake in concern. No matter who he is, if he's been turned into a snake then he needs help as well. Slowly, she hops over to him. "Hi. I'm Gwen. Gwen Cooper."

"I'm the Masster, it'sss a pleassure.

"The Doctor and I just have a ssort of love-hate relationsship, don't worry."

"He's not a friend Gwen." Alisa doesn't feel the need to pry or to tell her exactly what this Time Lord has done to Jack or the Doctor's friends. The Year that Never Was is still a rough point for Jack.

She's not a fan of the snake but she knows The Doctor has a love/hate with the other Time Lord. "It's the fact you make the world around you uncomfortable."

It wouldn't take much for Alisa to just get rid of the snake. "Enough of the arguing we've got the Rift acting up and it's either responsible for this completely or something else is."

This will be the last time this Doctor will be seen with this face. He clears his throat. "Gwen." He will explain Master to her some other day but now isn't the time. He resists the chimp urge to throw more rocks at the snake.

"Right, right lets focus on the bigger problem here. The Doctors in the zoo may have their hands on whatever it is that's coming from there. I don't think us storming the zoo again is going to work on anyone's favor especially with our tank putting on extra pounds." The Doctor wanders over towards a waste bin inside of the park and he goes to poke around it for something to eat.

He's got a duty to uphold and work to finish.

"Sso what do we do, than? Hanging around here issn't much help to anyone."

Gwen listens to Alisa and the Doctor, turning to gaze back at the snake with confusion. She wonders if he is like Hart, a part of the Doctor's past with bad motives. She doesn't know Alisa or the Doctor well, but she doubts either of them would lie.

"The Doctor is right." She sighs and wanders back over beside Alisa, getting herself a drink of water with her hands. "But I don't know what else to do. If we can't go back to the zoo, where do we go? Torchwood?" She shook her head, feeling lost.

"It's not like we can just go home." She sounded very depressed as she said it. She hoped Rhys and Anwen were okay.

"We can't exactly go anywhere else either. We're too big to wander the streets well except for you." Alisa says with a bitter tone to the snake and she begins to stuff herself with leaves from another tree. She's not trusting the snake one bit but there's bigger things to worry about.

She pulls down a few branches that Gwen might find tasty but if they are or not doesn't to be an issue with Alisa. There's a rumble of a sigh. "I'm too big to go into Torchwood..Okay, there's rooms in Torchwood that can hold me but I'm not sure the key" She then shoots an elephant's glare at Master. "He's not stepping one foot inside of there. Captain's orders."

The Doctor glances at Master. "You're not going anywhere with us. I'm sorry but it's not a good idea to let you wander inside of Torchwood." The Doctor's got his cleverness and he managed to drag his coat along. He goes to dig into his pockets to pull out his sonic.

"See. I'm more than just a bunch of banana's for brains." The Doctor smiles and he grabs some of the fallen branches to nom on. "I say the three of us head into Torchwood and I should be able to use my monkey fingers to help out. The zoo isn't an option for us right now Gwen."

"Are you blind? I haven't currently got any feet!

"But fine, fine. I'll go back to the sstupid zoo and ssee if I can be more of a help there. Goodbye."

And off he goes, muttering to himself about ungrateful idiots and the like.

Gwen watches the Master go, but she doesn't say anything. The Doctor and is The Doctor. He would know what he was talking about, wouldn't he? Frowning, she turned and looked back and forth between the Doctor and Alisa. They had more important things to do than bicker.

"Yes, Torchwood. It's the only place big enough that can accommodate all of us and Alisa too. At least we'll be welcome there. And perhaps there's someone there who is still human. They can call our families. Check up on our loved ones. Not everyone went to the Zoo on the mission, right?"

She moved over and patted one of Alisa's large elephant legs. "We'll take care of you."

Alisa's relieved about the departure of The Master and she understands the feeling along with having to help Jack with the occasional nightmare that Jack still suffers from.

Anyway that's done with and she grabs hold of a branch. "Torchwood's perfect but please eh, my family's English is limited. And, I don't want my brothers knowing I turned into an elephant." She figures most would take that as she put on lots of weight. "Still not everyone went on that mission." She's aware that Tosh is still in the HUB and the 'Jack' character is still there.

The pat on the leg is reassuring and she pulls the branch from the tree to stuff in her mouth. "Ffanks."

"Slithering is more like it." The Doctor takes hold of Alisa's trunk to lead her to one of his favorite doors to slip through it's large enough for Alisa to slip into.

The Doctor takes Gwen's hand too to lead her along. "No I would hope Jack never depletes the HUB of people. It's a dangerous job that he leads." The Doctor tells Gwen while he leads them along. "Course we'll take care of you. Just leave the bananas to me."

Once, they're finally at the entrance to the HUB The Doctor takes his sonic and he frowns. "I need a bit of a hand here. I'm a little on the short side other than my arms."
